    Beady Eye regret to inform fans in Vienna that due to being diagnosed with acute pharyngitis Liam will not be able to perform at tomorrow's gig at Gasometer.

    Liam was forced to pull out of last night's gig in Zurich because of the infection. He tweeted: Zurich, apologies for cancelling tonight's gig, I've got a throat infection, absolutely gutted, hope to see you all again soon...LG

    After a couple of weeks of well deserved rest Beady Eye are heading out on tour again to play across Europe.

  • BEADY EYE ANNOUNCE UK TOUR IN NOVEMBER

    Beady Eye are pleased to announce they will round up a hugely successful year with a string of UK shows for November 2011.

    The band released their debut album ‘Different Gear, Still Speeding’ in February which went gold on release and embarked on a sold out UK tour soon after. Since then they have gigged all over the world and played countless festivals including a headline appearance on the NME/Radio 1 tent at last weekend’s Reading & Leeds Festival.

    Next week the band (Liam Gallagher, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock) will travel to play shows in South Korea, Japan and Taiwan and then onto Abu Dhabi, Europe and South America before returning for these UK dates. A second run of appearances in North America will then take them up to Christmas.

    The confirmed dates for the UK tour are below:

    11 November - BLACKPOOL, Empress Ballroom - TICKETS
    12 November - SHEFFIELD, O2 Academy - SOLD OUT
    14 November - BIRMINGHAM, O2 Academy - TICKETS
    15 November - SWINDON, Oasis Leisure Centre - TICKETS
    17 November - LONDON, O2 Academy Brixton - TICKETS

Who is Beady Eye?

Beady Eye are an English rock band that formed in London in 2009. Following the departure of guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Noel Gallagher from Oasis, lead vocalist Liam Gallagher decided to end the band and form a new one in its place, retaining guitarist Gem Archer, bassist Andy Bell (who switched to the role of guitarist) and drummer Chris Sharrock. Jay Darlington also joined Beady Eye as a live keyboardist, in the same vein as his role with Oasis. The bassist for Beady Eye is Jeff Wootton from the band Gorillaz.

The band began writing and recording new material as early as November 2009, and released their debut track, "Bring the Light" on 22 November 2010, followed by a full-length studio album in 2011 produced by Steve Lillywhite. It was revealed on the band's official website on 9 November that "Bring the Light" would be made available as a free digital download from 10 November, aswell as being released as a limited edition 7" vinyl single, all 4,000 copies sold out on the day they went on sale. The 7" vinyl also included a b-side called "Sons of the Stage".
